I don’t know what it is, but I love Kamala with kids (usually little girls). She’s so inspirational.

I love that the older sister said, “If you don’t make it, I’ll take your place.”

Harris IMO has the best stage presence of any of the Dems, and is the most articulate.

Her problem is going to come when her primary opponents start to dig up her history as an over-zealous prosecutor.

As someone from the Bay Area and living in Oakland, I am constantly reminded of her history of locking up Black people in the Bay Area. Her track record consists of terrorizing Black communities through the prison industrial complex and she has consistently shown herself to be an enemy to the masses of Black people.
When Harris tries to invoke ID politics, as she will have to in order to get through the primaries, she will end up hoist on her own petard.

I thought she as a shoe-in because she checks three identity boxes, but apparently there is this, and a lot of black women don't like her because she whored her way to the top.

If she is the candidate, she has my vote. She really kicked butt last night.

She had one "mom" moment about a food fight. That's not kicking butt on any level. She probably will be the candidate though because the Dems mean to run a woman of color against Trump so they can claim he's racist and sexist when he disagrees with her. That's their only move at this point. It's also known that she's not a great person, which would only be concerning if she actually became POTUS.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

To me the big tell was when she said to stop the food fight because they want to know how we will put food on their table. It isn't the role of government to put food on my table. It is up to me, not some government nanny

You don't always put food on your table all by yourself, Buckeye. No one does. We all need help sometimes.

That's why humans have always formed governments.

Speak for yourself. You may be happy eating out of the government trough, but a lot of folks find a way to feed themselves

I said nothing at all about any government trough. That was you alone speaking for yourself.

But I will say this: We all need someone to lean on, like the song says, and it applies to you and me alike. No one ever goes through life alone and independent of all others except for the hermits who cannot tolerate others.

You lean on our government to keep the food you eat safe, your water fit to drink safely, for fire protection for your home, and police protection for your person. Every day. Just as I and everyone else does. And there's a lot more than this that we lean on every day.
