Our president could sign an EO to develop comfortable, controlled complexes for the mentally ill homeless, with a kitchen/dining hall, sterile room with free needles to shoot up, semi-private rooms, counseling, resources, laundry room, internet, medical services, a walk-out policy, etc etc, ...

... but some unelected black-robed dictator in Hawaii would scream CONCENTRATION CAMPS ! UNCONSTITUTIONAL ! and grind the process to a stand-still.

Because, "orange man bad" /npc

The difference between a safe space and a concentration camp is one's ability to leave.

Quick divergence, you can always tell when a leftist is speaking...”complex” is one of their new favorite words.

The vast majority of homeless terrorist zombies are drug addicts and this is a self-created condition, not mental illness. Liberals attempt to claim that drug addiction is mental disability.

Drug addiction is an intentional decision made by the most worthless of human trash and is quite frankly not my problem. The only exception I will make is for those who became addicted to opioids after being lied to by their doctors. These people are the minority.
Compassion is not a "leftist" trait, it's a human one.

There are a lot of homeless vets out there. Those very ones you would say "thank you for your service" to when you meet them in a different circumstance.

There are mentally ill people out there who can't get a job, let alone health care and they often don't have family to care for them.

I've never heard of or seen a drug addict say that being a junkie was a career choice when they were in school. Life happens.

How does a ring winger like yourself tolerate the people in the People's Republic of Boulder? By the way there is a ton of homeless and transients in Boulder. That must drive you nuts.

The only NPCs are you all claiming California is failing.

You want to see a forest of cranes go up in the San Francisco Bay area or L.A. overnight? Exile every Nimby and CA Coastal Commission member to Catalina Island and not allow them even a Smartphone.

Malibu has 25 miles of shoreline, selfishly enjoyed by 25,000 people. There's enough space there to put 50-100 high rises alone.

The last time someone proposed a 21 story high rise in Santa Monica, the people viewed it as a taxi waste dump appearing in their city. No new high rise since 1970.

Santa Barbara? Talk about highly restrictive zoning!

California has 24% of the nation's homeless. The other states have the other 76%.

States ranked by largest homeless population:
  1. Calif
  2. New York
  3. Florida
  4. Texas
  5. Washington
  6. Massachusetts
  7. Oregon
  8. Pennsylvania
  9. Colorado
  10. Illinois
Homelessness is a national issue -- there's no state that doesn't have homeless people.

I chose not to have kids.

If a parent still cares about the addict, they should be the custodian of the addict. It’s not my problem.

Nobody put a gun to their head to have children.

There are a lot of homeless who lie about having served in the military, yes.

Its relatively small with easy traffic and empty beaches. The majority of the population live in trash called the bay area, L.A, and San Diego.
I live in the Bay Area.

I own my house, it is completely paid off. So housing costs don’t affect me much.

I work from home, so I have no commute. My wife has a five minute commute. So traffic doesn’t affect us much.

For me, California is wonderful.

California has a lot of homeless people because already-homeless people from other states are attracted there due the mild climate and the abundance of social services.

I mean, you may as well say hospitals are a failure because so many people in them are sick.
