He said it several times in the last few days. It shuts down a huge portion of Manhattan and disrupts a lot of the city. Going to his resort is better for all considered.

And that's the reason Obama never went back to his home in Chicago. The security was a nightmare for the neighborhood. I suspect it's why Laura Bush built the ranch in Crawford. She knew from her in laws the trouble for the neighborhood.
In Trump's case, it ties up all kinds of traffic, tenants and really busy airspace. He pretty much can't go home again. And the local governments in Fl. have a budget problem with the security they have to provide.
A relative in Manhattan was always laughing when the Clinton's were looking for a Manhattan house. Her take was that no condo or co op board in town would let them in their building due to the security hassle. Him being a arse hole was problem, too.
