So just how far does religious belief go when it comes to the laws of this country?

Venue owner found out that the couple were not of the same race and denied rental of the venue citing her "Christian race, er Christian beliefs".

I was saying that when businesses were told that they could use "religious belief" to refuse service to gays that it would open the door to racists to do the same. Seems that I was right. Either religious belief trumps any and all laws or it doesn't.

You know what amazes me? That people care about who other people are married to. It's not like it affects your own marriage.

I think everyone should have the same opportunity to suffer.

First they just wanted to deny the gays; now it's the blacks too.

"Mixed race" - what bigoted tripe.

this video was from facebook post seen by the person who posted it. It didn't happen to the person who posted the video on twitter.
It DID happen to the person that originally posted it on facebook, which is where i originally saw it. She is the sister of the man who is getting married. I linked a story instead of her personal FB page, and haven't seen it on twitter since I'm very rarely on there to see anything.

I linked that article because it is from a local source, but it has been printed in several others.

I don't think this is right, but I'm sure there are 50 other places that would happily wed them within 50 miles of their home. As always, they were ready with video rolling to slap on social media.

If someone doesn't want your business take your business elsewhere. I'm sure there are many other venues that would gladly accept their hard earned money.

Ah, I am outraged because something happened somewhere! And, these things usually happen in the places where one might guess they'd happen.

It's hot in Florida too!

Boonesville? Like "in the Boonies"??

I doubt many people would think that is how you should be able to justify racism in society. If a venue is open to the public, racism should not be allowed.
