Nice to see both sides keeping the double standard alive.
OBama saying he will have more flexibility AFTER the election is the same as Trump saying he'll likely have a deal with China AFTER The election.

Same concept. Trump doesn't want to c commit to a Chinese deal for fear it will not live up to the expectations he has created (which is most likely)......so by waiting until after the election next year he can avoid being called out for not making MASSIVE changes to trade with China.

It is not the same thing --- because we don't know what exactly what is going on with this whistle blower.

We didn't know what was going on with Obama in that situation either.

But acting director of national intelligence Joseph Maguire has refused to share details about Trump’s alleged transgression with lawmakers..."

The complaint was filed with Atkinson’s office on Aug. 12, a date on which Trump was at his golf resort in New Jersey. White House records indicate that Trump had had conversations or interactions with at least five foreign leaders in the preceding five weeks...

Among them was a call with Russian President Vladimir Putin that the White House initiated on July 31. Trump also received at least two letters from North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during the summer, describing them as “beautiful” messages."

While reading just think to yourself If Obama made a promise to some foreign leader so troubling that it warranted whistleblowing AND his appointed DNI chief illegally refuses to allow any congressional oversight, would that be OK?

I hope the whistleblower just goes directly to Congress with this info!
You mean like when Obama told the Russian President that he’d have more flexibility after the election? Was that ok?

Doesn't appear to be the same at all.

And Obama claiming he would have more flexibility to negotiate after the election is similar to Trump attempting to not make a deal with China until AFTER the next election.

And Obama didn't say 'promise'...he said he would have more flexibility. He did not say I promise I will be able to give you more.

If I say to you -- I will be in a better position to negotiate after the election....that's not saying I am going to promise you anything.

No matter how you try to spin it -- it just doesn't say that.

Trump has had 4 or 5 completely private meetings with Putin without anybody in the US Government knowing what was being said or promised.

This WHILE the FBI was investigating Russian interference in the US election.

So.. even though the Obama video has a tiny bit claim to impropriety... trump has gone above and beyond in secrecy and number of meetings now.

But, sure.. play that single video clip again and again... does not change the fact that trump spent several hours alone with Putin.. and not a single person knows what he has given Putin.

The left has cried wolf so many times that I don’t think they even believe half the things they say. Lol

Speculation now that the promise may involve a July 31st telephone call to Putin which was characterized by the White House as a discussion by Trump to “ discuss American aid to Russia to combat Siberian forest fires”. Odd since Trump has been lukewarm and even critical of help to California with their recent forest fires. Stayed tuned on this one.
