If you’re interested in learning more, Dana Schwartz has published a book of her own called, “The White Man’s Guide to White Male Writers of the Western Canon,” and maybe in there she explains in a little more detail why white male authors should be pulled from high school curriculums for the next two decades. Well, we already know the reason: the patriarchy.
Under this theory I suppose we should abandon learning about all things created by white males, then? Imagine all the innovations, history, and knowledge we would lose. This is no different. Literal book burning is not far behind, if not already happening.
Here’s a novel idea, why don’t we add others to list instead of striking out what is already there?

Well, that idea came from a white woman. These types of extreme ideas seem to come from whites more than anyone else. Perhaps this is due to doing wrong for so long without any remorse. Who knows...
