I don't know because all of the truly stupid people I know IRL voted for Trump. Without fail.

Then they'll be forced to move more moderate, or risk not winning a presidential election again for a long time.

The country is not ready for a far left agenda, and that's why Warren will lose if she goes up against Trump.
I've been saying that for a while now. I don't think that a lot of Americans are as far left as the dem frontrunners seem to be. I feel like places like LA, NYC, Chicago and a handful of other places are pretty liberal and left but I'd venture to say that a lot of fly over country just isn't ok with the far left agenda. Maybe a couple more election cycles and a few more older people dying off.

I don't know, 2020 will be interesting.

And there isn't a damn thing wrong with any of those initiations, despite your misspelling of patriotism with two words.

I give him credit for attempting to deal with China on tariffs but he failed on immigration and outsourcing jobs Two of his main promises were to resurrect manufacturing and the return of coal, both failures.

The decline in the democratic party is primarily due to their departure from focusing on your average middle-class working American and the new "Left's" absolute fixation on trying to be as "woke" as possible and to pander to every social justice warrior interest out there. Hating on white people 24/7 has not helped the democratic party much either. It has contributed to a lot of closet Trump supporters.

If anything it's the decline of moderates in both parties that we're getting to witness in today's toxic politics. When did extremism become cool? And I mean extremism on both left and right. Good time to be a politician with no conscience ... that's for sure!
You can blame it on Newt Gingrich. He played a key role in encouraging political polarization and undermining the old democratic norms for collegiate partisan behavior. This generation has been Gingriched.

I used to think "low information voter" was exclusive to liberals until I turned on C-SPAN one day and listened to the calls from "conservatives" who sounded dumber than a sack of rocks. Ever since then, I think there are plenty of low information Republicans out there, too.

It seems that everyone in Calif. is a Democrat but me. Total control of everything with no hope of that changing. How can so many people be so screwed up? Every tax increase and there was bunch passed in the last election.
