What a stupid talking point. If we take this to it’s logical conclusion, all sorts of rights would vanish overnight, and not for the better. Whether Originalist or Textualist, literally no legal scholar believes the Constitution does not need to be interpreted and applied to modern society.

The Dems don't really care about illegals. DACA was created because Obama couldn't get Pelosi and Reid to pass a bill when he had Dem majority and Obama had no choice but to create DACA after the GOP took the senate and house back.

...Really? LOL.

I wasn’t talking about the Supreme Court.

When they rule DACA unconstitutional, the DACA people can be used as a bargaining chip in congress. Now, they are technically legal, so they are worthless as a bargaining chip. Once they are made illegal again, congress can come up with an alternative to keep them here, in exchange for more border security.

Because they literally can't. Applying for citizenship first requires permanent legal residency, and DACAs don't have that.

The D in DACA stands for deferred, and that term is not the same as permanent.

I think most here expect a ruling signaling "times up". Ruling will take a few months to get released, no doubt.

Yeah, Democrats are the bad ones when we have Republicans practically orgasming over the prospect of destroying their lives because of mistakes made by their parents. Sure.

In 2009-2010 Dems had the last super-majority. They chose ACA over Immigration Reform. They had the votes to pass either one. They chose ACA.

Choices have consequences.

Trump offered a pathway to citizenship for the DACA folks in exchange for a border wall. The Democrats refused to negotiate.

I assume you are voting for Trump and a straight Republican ticket if this issue matters to you.
