Wrong, the House has the sole power of impeachment, per the Constitution.

Where did you get this information about impeachment?

As far as I know the House holds an impeachment inquire and if evidence is found its moves on for a full House vote for impeachment. The House shall have sole Power of impeachment (Article 1, Section 3, Clause 5)

When the the articles of impeachment is passed by a simple majority in the house it moves on to the Senate for a trial and ends in either a conviction (67 members must vote to convict) or an acquittal if 2/3 is not met.

No president has ever being convicted by the Senate although both Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson were impeached in the Housed neither were convicted by the Senate.

It backfired on republican when Clinton was impeached in 1998 and they lost the house even after 31 democrats voted for impeachment.

I wouldn't be surprised if the the same thing happen in 2020 with republicans gaining seats.

No, the biggest political mistake in history was letting a Dictator wannabe, Donald Trump, to be elected as the leader of this country. THAT is a very black mark on the history of America and will haunt us for decades.
