Interesting. She looks more like an anime character to me but guess that’s not where she got it from. Looks like more white people getting on her. It’ll blow over and she’ll be alright after awhile.
So I took a look at the pictures. How is wearing two purple, long "Heidi-like" braids cultural appropriation?
I did a quick google search and braids like she's wearing have been around for thousands of years and worn by Celtic women, Greeks, Chinese, and in Northern Africa (where it originated 6,000 years ago). You can find ancient Roman statues of women with similar hairstyles.
Here is the picture of the woman in question with her braids:
Where do people get that braids belongs to one culture? What culture would that be? And where do they get no one else is allowed to do it aside people of that culture?
Just more hypocrite bs from the demolibs. Look at how many women of color in positions of power and authority straighten their hair. Wouldn't that be the same thing - cultural appropriation? From Oprah to Michelle Obama, to Kamala Harris, they all straighten their hair. I don't see any afro's among that group of top socialists and politicians. Why not?
Braids are not exclusive to black people nor are dread locks. Bunch of idiots!
