Oh brother, here we go. We are sooooooooooo screwed. Right before we invaded Iraq there was talk of the same - dropping the dollar in favor of the bourse. This should be interesting.

The dollar has lost over 20% against the yen in the past year; about the same with the Euro; over 25% with the Thai baht.

What does the US expect?

I am actually surprised that all the OPEC nations have not switched to a more stable currency than the US dollar. They are holding dollars that get less and less valuable everyday against other currency.

We need one more thing..for someone high in the government to say that Iran has "Weapons of Mass Destruction". THEN we'll invade.

I think they played that card a bit too much - sort of like the 2nd Al Qaeda got got killed OVER AND OVER.

I think the latest angle is that Iran is supplying weapons to Iraq that are killing American troops.

Or, Israel could always launch a preemptive strike in which case we'll step in.

Fallon made sure that 2nd carrier did not go to the gulf and now he's out of the way.

At any rate, this is huge.
