President Trump pointing out that we have a socialist biased mainstream media is "tearing apart the constitution regarding Freedom of the Press and the Right to Peaceably Assemble and Freedom of Speech?

I suggest you consider how freedom of speech and assembly is treated in a Supreme Court packed country like Venezuela:

“As Venezuela’s situation worsens, the Maduro regime arrests opposition political leaders and shuts down news websites and detains journalists, leading to criticism from the U.N. and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. In 2017, Venezuela’s Supreme Court, filled with Maduro loyalists, take away the powers of the National Assembly, increasing Maduro’s control. The following year, he is reelected overwhelmingly in an election that a coalition of other western hemisphere nations says “lacked legitimacy.”

JWK

Our country is infested with a Fifth Column movement at MSNBC, NEW YORK TIMES, CNN, WASHINGTON POST, ATLANTIC MAGAZINE, New York Daily News, Time, ETC., and their countless Yellow Journalists, who work hand in hand with the socialist controlled Democrat Party leadership to plunder, paralyze and destroy our free market, free enterprise, democratic system of government.

They don't get to do that. That is the Senate's job, to hold a vote. The truth is, Merrick Garland is a moderate and McConnell was afraid he would get enough votes so he chose not to have the vote at all.

Republicans have repeatedly praised Merrick Garland

Merrick Garland will remain a symbol of Republican dishonesty for all time.

Really? And how is Trump tearing apart the constitution regarding freedom of the press, the right to peaceably assemble and freedom of speech? I'd like to know.

Where in constitution does it specify how many Supreme Court justices there should be? SEriously way it was done before the extreme polarization by political parties, the President in office nominated somebody, the Senate reviewed and if the guy was competent, he got approved. The Democrats may not liked a conservative justice or Republicans a liberal justice, but THAT wasnt the point. It was whether the prospective justice met the qualifications to hold the office. And in any system there are always some retired politicians or whatever that really arent best choice that get nominated and approved. But it was just accepted that one party or other didnt get their own way all the time. And no matter which party is holding power, it wont be forever.

What most are objecting to is the 2016 argument the Republicans had against even considering Garland is turned on its head in 2020 by the same people. We saw the tapes of the Republican senators flip flopping like fish out of water. They want what they want and dont care who they run roughshod over to get it. Or how many lies they have to speak.

Trump is just a symptom, the extreme polarization of the political parties is the end of this country. In a parliamentary system they have to build coalitions from multiple smaller parties. Go too far and your coalition falls apart and elections are called. The American public is only given two choices with any consequence whether either one represents their actual views. So those two options have all the power with no incentive to compromise if they dont want to. And thus the weakness of the American political system is becoming obvious. When the two parties can work together its a strong system, when they stonewall each other, its weaker than weakest parliamentary system.

Then if Harris becomes a disappointment they will use the same system to remove her and on and on ....

We could have a new President every 4 months and do away with elections !!!

Is that why she brought up the 25th amendment recently?

People voting Dem WANT them to pack the SCOTUS. So they can get their agenda supported. By screaming about protecting Roe vs Wade and getting firearms ci fixation passed (for "the good of society" of course) the voters the Dems have buffaloes will vote straight blue.

This is THE most partisan divided election I've ever participated in. The left, via BLM, ANTIFA and all the brain dead basement dwellers and snot nosed crowds of "academics" that are falling in with them have created an atmosphere of violent upheaval and have e a lot if folks scared.

Scared to actually go out and vote in person. Txixt the Dems using the CV19 scare and threats of violence at polling places the Dems hope to basically pull off a coup. Which this whole mess smells of bad enough to knock a sewer rat off an outhouse.

It depends on whether Trump replaces RBG with the handmaiden. That is what started this talk. The GOP has been packing the courts for years at the state level and Trump has been doing the same at the Federal level. Turnabout, as they say.
