I am in my late-30s, and have always felt like it was my right, my heritage, my duty to vote. And voting in-person is important to me. I find it absolutely repugnant that this mail-in voting seems to be exploding. It is distirbing.

And I would risk acquiring a disease in the process of carrying out my American right to vote (in person) if that is what it required.

People have voted by mail since the civil war. Why would you risk dying to vote in person?

Your prerogative. It's pathetic that in what is still a first world country, anyone should need to risk their health and possibly their life to vote. In Colorado we've been successfully voting via mail for years.

I have been voting by mail for 25 years. It is just as satisfying an exercise of one's rights as it is in person (especially this year).

ThevOP may be willing to die. I am not. I want the convince of voting by mail. Why should anyone have to stand in line for hours to vote? Very difficult for lots of people.

Women in some countries risk their lives to go to school.

I absolutely would risk dying to do what I have felt is my duty since I turned 18 about 20 years ago, by voting in person.

(I see my typo in the title, btw.)

I don’t live in some countries I live in USA. Old people, disabled even working busy people should be able to vote by mail.

Well, that's your prerogative. But I gotta say you'd be an idiot to risk your life to do something in person if you can safely do it by mail.

Actually, I plan to vote in person, because I want to be sure my vote is counted. But if I felt that going in person would jeopardize my life, you better believe I would vote by mail.

Kavalier and Leo58, it’s not pandemic concerns that induces me to cast my2020 ballot by mail. I’m doing so to affirm my trust and confidence in our local postal employees, and our county’s board of election will handle all mailed ballots equitably.

I regret that a U.S. president should predict that would not be generally the case in all USA counties. I’m voting by mail as an act of confrontation to a U.S. president that strongly implied he will challenge the election results if they do not please him, (i.e. if he’s not re-elected). Respectfully, Supposn
