MAD. The mot… well… Mad idea humanity has ever fabricated.

It’s so fudging stupid. We die because world leaders get p*seed at one another. And we die for it.

People are dying in Ukraine because of this.

Why exactly should we believe this Bill Ackman knows what he is talking about?

As ugly as it sounds, perhaps humanity’s fatal flaw is/was the brain power to develop intricate systems of governing that inevitably funneled power into the hands of a few + the brain power to develop weapons that can wipe us all out.

If not Putin — perhaps at some point you have the right leader with nukes that is willing to end everything…perhaps even enjoying the show as they hide in some deep underground bunker.

Kind of like dodge ball best we can hope for is dodging these end of the world balls being flung at us until one eventually smacks us in the face. Its not if but when.

Same guy who rambled on for an hour preaching doom and gloom last year. I watched him that day on CNBC and thought to myself this guy needs to shut the F up. He went on and on in a grim rant.

I agree - it's too early to say how this will pan out,

NATO is not getting directly involved and unless Putin attacks a NATO nation or does something really stupid then this might not escalate in to a bigger conflict.

There is however the possibility that Putin might do something stupid, but it's not a certainty and a world war is not a certainty at this stage of events.

We could still end up in a new cold war rather than a world war with nuclear weapons.
