Billionaire and leftist Bill Ackman has stated that when he knows a lot about a topic he sees that the media is inaccurate and has a bias. He somehow still trusted the media on topics he knew less about.
However, he was watching the Rittenhouse Trial live and then seeing what the mainstream media twisted it to be and now no longer trusts them at all.
He worries that people will riot if Rittenhouse is set free, because the media has done a horrible job of being honest and fair in its coverage.
Bill Ackman still supports stronger gun control, but says gun control has nothing to do with Rittenhouse's innocence.
After Bill Ackman posted this, he later posted this as well:

i haven't trusted any media when it comes to matters of foreign policy and many other matters as well, they are all business model people whose main thrust is customers to watch commercials (soap)....
in our modern times the right has seemed to branch off with alternative sources who do NO better...
much of our news seems to be of the sensationalist type anymore to catch viewership

Because the mainstream media is propaganda for the left, the right has to seek alternative forms of media, which as you point out is no better, but just feeds the beast even more.

Some of us don't need anyone else to "see the light" and tell us the "mainstream media" -- whether left or right-- is biased. Some of us figured that out on our own, years ago, long before cancelling the MSM became a thing.
More important, we figured out that most US media is sensationalist fluff that isn't worth our time or attention.

Back in the early ‘90s I worked for a man who went to church with a family who were all murdered by the oldest son. Since he was a witness for the prosecution (for things discussed, not an actual witness to murder), he was not allowed in the courtroom during the defendant’s testimony. I went to the trial that day to take notes.
Every day I clipped the articles from the newspapers about the trial for our file and you’d be surprised at how inaccurate both papers were about the case in general and what happened in the courtroom each day. That was a real eye opener for me. The people writing the articles weren’t paying attention or didn’t understand but were just whinging it.
And that was back in the days that they still had editors and standards of practice to have at least two verified sources for every story. Imagine how bad it is today when the more salacious the headline the better.
All I can say is thank God for video.
