Billionaire and leftist Bill Ackman has stated that when he knows a lot about a topic he sees that the media is inaccurate and has a bias. He somehow still trusted the media on topics he knew less about.
However, he was watching the Rittenhouse Trial live and then seeing what the mainstream media twisted it to be and now no longer trusts them at all.
He worries that people will riot if Rittenhouse is set free, because the media has done a horrible job of being honest and fair in its coverage.
Bill Ackman still supports stronger gun control, but says gun control has nothing to do with Rittenhouse's innocence.
After Bill Ackman posted this, he later posted this as well:
When the ny times, which comes out in the A.M., prints a phrase or word just about ALL the alphabet tv media use the SAME word or phrase that day.
posters on this forum sometimes use the same words...ie nobody ever used the word "failed" when i was younger...it is also worth noting that the Chinese character for crisis contains "opportunity"
people are profiting from pushing division to be sure
A lot of people are beginning to see the media for what they are due to this case. Good. It's about time.
For sure. I've seen it firsthand. People that I know, only paying attention to and listening to the nightly news programming and then becoming shocked when confronted with the actual evidence in the trial. It's like lightbulbs going off.
Oh, please, michiganmoon, never, ever forget that Fox News as part of the mainstream media overwhelmingly represents propaganda on the right. Do you not realize that Fox News is still, by far, the no. 1 cable news network? Do you further not realize that many conservatives on here quite dearly love and look up to Carlson, Hannity and Ingraham. And if you need an alternative, then there is always NewsMax and OAN for starters.
Does Fox News deliberately misrepresent trial proceedings, ignore obvious video evidence and witness testimony in order to create a false narrative?
You may not like Fox, but it's hard to argue that they present opposite viewpoints.
CNN, MSNBC and the networks like to pretend that there are no opposite viewpoints.
The aim is to divide, always will be. Without conflict they have nothing to sell you. The same is true of the political parties. Both take millions from banks, health insurance companies, why would they do anything to benefit you unless it also benefits their investors?
