Not saying it is a gay disease. But it is a disease passes with intimate contact.

If I was trying to explain my concern of being contaminated by monkey pox vs. COVID..I would say it is more similar with small pox...which was considered eradicated.

Nope that's not how they explain monkey pox..Monkeypox is caused by a virus of the same name that is closely related to smallpox, which has now been eradicated from the planet. Both are members of the Orthopoxvirus genus in the family Poxviridae. Monkeypox was first discovered in 1958 when outbreaks of a disease causing a pox were discovered in monkeys held in captivity for research. I do understand why conservatives are concerned with this monkey pox. My conservative governor shutdown all state schools with some 11 COVID cases....three of these monkey pox cases in the country and he might shut down the state once again.
