U.S. Mass Shootings Hover Near Record-Breaking Levels
Good question. It's not like firearms by the hundreds of millions in all sorts of makes and models in private hands is something brand new. However the class of murderers we are seeing (which have always been there as well) know the worst that can happen to them is a stint in the joint and at best hell, they'll walk on a technicality and see time in a mental hospital. Great drugs and the food beats prison.

Brought to us all by the Democrat party and their steady "progressive" drumbeat. So what do these murderous criminals nut cases have to lose?

The Las Vegas shooter. The Pulse Orlando Nightclub shooting. Even if we go back to Virginia Tech.

This isn’t a new phenomenon and it’s not under Biden.

It’s neither Dems or Repubs. This is clearly an American problem.

Just a guess, multiple reasons.
1. COVID lockdowns contributing to depression and making already isolated people with issues even more desperate.
2. Constant stream of negative news stories and news talk shows with people being so negative towards each other increasing hopelessness and depression
3. Self isolation via social media making it harder for people to connect with those closest to them in the real world
4. Wanting help and attention but not knowing any other way to do so other than a big explosive message
5. Blaming others for their position in life and looking for ways to take it out on those others instead of improving or bettering yourself

It may not be the sole reason, but I believe that the liberal DA's and judges that let these scumbags out with no bail, light sentences, or in some case no sentences are the reason a lot of this is happening. There is no fear of the punishment.

Many of these shootings, however, are done by mentally unstable people without any kind of red flag that they could be dangerous. That is extremely difficult to anticipate.

The shootings have skyrocketed every year, year after year, for almost 30 years.
Each year has been higher than the year before.

Some of it is mental health for sure, and that is hard to make happen without spending huge amounts. Congress won't agree.
Some of it is better trained law enforcement and courts that work more efficiently. I'm hopeful on this one.
Criminals don't care about licensing requirements. They don't care about having to prove they need a gun. They don't care about restrictions on types of guns. So how about instead of trying to add more laws against LEGAL gun owners we just enforce the thousands of laws already on the books that go after the criminals.

What good are more laws going to do if the DA refuses to prosecute the crimes that occur with today's laws? So how about we do what SF did and LA is likely going to do. Any DA that refuses to prosecute the laws gets the privilege of finding a new job.

How about instead of "better trained" law enforcement officials, we let the LEOs actually enforce the law. Yes I know it's a radical thought but it's worked in the past.

It because the Democrats are against gun control. Obviously.

Agree.
I think this has more to do with dysfunctional culture than with guns.
Sadly, democrats have normalized violence and disrespect for law and order
with their constant rioting, defending violence and coddling of criminals.

OK, I’ll pretend you’re 5. The reason why these shootings have escalated now is because of Dems controlling congress and the White House, which provides the best chance these criminals have had in many years to advance their gun grabbing agenda. A pro 2nd Amendment president would be the show stopper, because even though Dems have a majority in congress, they needed to also have an ally in the WH, because they do not have sufficient numbers in congress to override a presidential veto.

Furthermore, because the unwashed masses are too damned stupid to tie their own shoes, they just don’t notice the signs that many, if not all of these shootings having nefarious fingerprints on them that the sheep don’t possess the intelligence to even notice, let alone question.

Every last one of these “Mass shootings” have a couple of interesting coincidences in common. The “shooters” seem to be whacked out liberal loon young males with a similarly weird profile, and they are either known, or in some way connected to the FBI, either by past involvement, or on some watch list, with troubling social media clues pointing to their mental illness issues. Secondly, they all seem to magically be drawn to AR15’s as their weapon of choice, which just so happens to be the prime weapon targeted for instituting a weapon’s ban. Coincidence, or just a stoke of luck for the gun grabbers?

Now, the biggest red flag is the fact that of all of the possible weapons choices for these mass shooters to choose, a long gun like an AR15 would be the last choice due to how hard it is to conceal. A shooter should stick out like a neon sore thumb toting one of those around, compared to a much more concealable, and virtually undetectable weapon like a semiautomatic 45 pistol, which can kill just as many people just as fast, without placing the shooter in jeopardy of being noticed, and stopped before successfully carrying out their crime. But somehow, these doofus brained nitwits seem to be successful, over and over again at prancing around with rifles, yet never noticed until after they shoot dozens of people?

About the only thing that stands out in this latest event is the fact that the shooter was apprehended alive. Most of these events conclude with the perp dead, and therefore, no arrest, no trial, just a nice clean crime and a dead suspect.

You want to know what would instantly halt these shootings? The Supreme Court would only need to announce that the 2nd Amendment is non-negotiable, and that it will totally reject any further efforts to ban, control, or restrict in any way, firearms, and especially AR15s. These shootings would immediately cease.
