Terrible. And yes, it does go to show that gun laws don’t stop motivated criminals. On a side note, I wonder if he would have been saved if he were shot here where doctors and hospitals are used to dealing with gunshot wounds.

It was a homemade gun ....

People intent on killing will find a way.

The 41-year-old, a former member of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force, opened fire at Abe with an apparently homemade gun.

Politicians beiing assassinated appear to be quite rare in Japan.

The last time a Japanese prime minister was shot and killed was 90 years ago.

The last politician a Japanese politician was killed was in 2007, and before that 2002. Both incidents were due to problems with the yakuza mob.

I still say this was just another loser wanting his 15 minutes of viral infany, just like any other of the mass shooters we have seen in America the past several decades. He wanted notoriety and so picked a convenient target.

The Associated press is already calling him a “divisive arch-conservative”

Our media is the absolute worst.

But that's like one compared thousands in America.
He was murdered with a homemade, blackpowder gun. 2 pipe nipples, 2 pipe caps, a piece of 2x4 and some electrical tape. No word on firing mechanism, my bet a battery and nichrome wire to light the blackpowder.

Point is anyone that wants to kill can do so, gun laws or not.

You jest, but the AP just ran a hit piece on him. He was civil with Trump, which angered the haters.
