Welcome to democracy. It allows people to protest. And if you remove it then you will force people into extremes to show their anger. Id rather it stick to protests.

There is a difference between protest and harassment/threat/assault.
Hassling women who enter Planned Parenthood clinics is a time-honored form of protest and has been found perfectly in accordance with the Constitution by - the Supreme Court.
Define “hassling.” If being present with signs and offering to talk or pray is hassling, seems like a weird definition. Just keep walking….
This country has gone so bonkers, I don't see a path back to reasonable.
Don't judge the whole crew by the acts of stupidity of the few. Turn off your internet and go out and walk around in your community. Participate in good works. You will meet all sorts of regular people who don't know anything about the crap. They will show you the path -- it's right outside your door.
The left has blocked roads many times protesting for whatever agenda they are pushiing. Where have you been?
Um, what about the Trump caravan blocking a major highway in New Jersey for hours just to wave flags and be a nuisance, not even for a protest but just to show that they CAN? What about the Republican governor shutting down the country's busiest bridge because he was in a childish snit that a mayor wasn't supporting him?

The ratio of leftists to rightists closing roads and bridges is probably 99.9 to 0.1, at least. But it's wrong no matter who does it.

I'm conservatively pro-choice (1st trimester primarily), as is much of the country. I personally feel that the overturning of Roe was correct. It doesnt matter how anyone feels about abortion; this is a matter of adhering to the Constitution. Admittedly, SCOTUS was not unanimous in their decision, so the Constitutionality of Roe is not completely agreed upon or black and white. But I would think that anyone with an iota of understanding of our system of government could see at least SOME basis for returning the abortion issue to the states. If you think SCOTUS has the right to say that abortion must be legal in all 50 states, then you are supporting SCOTUS having the power to nationally legalize or ban anything they choose, Constitution be damned. That totally throws out our system of checks and balances. No thank you.
I wonder if this abhorrent Harvard law prof is teaching people how to effectively work toward getting laws passed in their states regarding abortion, and not just encouraging them to harass judges?? (Something she knows violates the law and violates our nation's ability to have impartial judges.)

Seems like the most divisive issues in our country have been the result of court decisions and executive orders when they should have been debated in congress instead.
Once upon a time, Congress was revered as a "deliberative body" of reasonable men and women who loved their country and put its welfare and success above party and extreme ideology. They had a way of finding compromise and knew how to govern. At this point, Congress has a favorable rating of 16%. As a legislative body they are absolutely dysfunctional and partisan. Some simply serve as obstructionists. Some even courted the insurrectionist mob that invaded the Capitol and supported the Big Lie, thereby undercutting the integrity and process of a constitutional transfer of power, a violation of their oath. Some have even sought pardons for their actions.

And the bridge thing was known as Bridgegate. It was a mess and people who worked for then-Governor Christie, who kept himself untouched, went to prison but then got out. Bunch of lawyers protecting one another, as usual, that works for all parties as well.
Before anyone embarrasses themselves by going off about how NJ is a liberal blue state, you should be aware that in the last election, Biden got 57.33% and Trump got 41.40%. There is a lot of Trump support in New Jersey.
But we are the most densely populated state in the country, and you start screwing around with people being able to get where they have to go, and they'll turn on you, no matter who you are. Pulling that caravan crap on the major north-south coastal artery probably lost Trump a few votes.
