As I understand it, most audits are random, computer- generated. High income earners, individuals and corporate, with very complex returns are more likely to be audited, regardless of party in power.

very true, but at the same time, conservative non-profits have enjoyed extra scrutiny since Obama suggested lois lerner take a look. she is gone, the but lookers aint.

They are going after people that choose to live in the greatest nation on Earth but don't want to pay their fair share. If you want to run a small business, know the laws, and if you don't agree with those laws, either don't run a business, or go somewhere that has laws you like, but don't cheat. Why is that so simple.

If you really want to be pro small business, then you MUST support removing the tie between healthcare and employment. If you can't support universal healthcare, fine. But right now, our laws make it very hard to go out on your own. If you want to make positive change, that is one small place that I think almost ALL Americans can agree on. (Not the universal part, but the part where your insurance is not tied to your employer.)

Think of all the corrupt, brutal paramilitary political police forces of the past. Now just lump the IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc right in with the rest of them.
Stop calling it a utopia. It's a dystopia.

The oligarchs agreed to pay billions in COVID payments. These guys aren’t where they are now by giving money away. They want their money back and they’ll get it. There is no free lunch folks.

You mean they want to go after the small businesses that were forced to close during COVID that survived, while bigger businesses were allowed to be open? Isn't private ownership of businesses and nearly everything else meant to come to an end with The New World Order?

So, no surprises here.

Please encourage everyone you know to get out and vote in the mid-terms. We must kick the Dems to the curb! Do not let them take away your right to vote as a citizen of the USA. You can register online, and I bet their are volunteers to get you to the polls if needed too! Take America back!

The very notion that they are going to find and hire 87,000 new IRS agents is laughable. Where are they going to come from? Just finding that number of new employees (from all the applicants), hiring only those who are qualified, can pass a drug test, get whatever clearances they need, find office space, and go through training will keep the IRS busy for a decade or more.

Apart from the right-wing hysteria, why should we be soft on tax cheats? Why is increased scrutiny and enforcement a bad thing? We have been hearing for years, and have some prime examples, that the wealthy do not pay taxes as they should. We should be closing the loopholes as well.

I guess the new left will only be happy when they have everyone under the thumb of the IRS. Democrats are the one who passed it. You all own this completely.
It won't matter by then. They can alter election outcomes anyway. Democrats don't care what you think anymore. Just look at the southern border. Their actions have no consequences and they know it.

And each one needs a new AR and 5 million rounds of ammo rounds of ammunition currently on their shelves will need to be supplemented.

If that's what you read when you read wht they intend to do with additional staff. I would say -- read it again and slower.
