US companies asked the US senators Robert Menendez and James Risch to ban the airlines Qatar Airways, Emirates, Air India, Air China, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and others from flying to the USA because they don't adhere to American values.

* Those airlines may offer cheap tickets because they fly directly over Eastern Europe. US airlines have to fly around burning expensive fuel due to the US regulations.
* Those airlines may offer free tasteful meals instead of standard dried-up sandwiches.
* Those airlines may hire young models ignoring equal job opportunity standards.

^^^^^^^
The last two seem like reasons to allow the airlines. The first reason looks like something that needs change.

The Chinese and Indians will fly to Mexico first, then.

You mentioned "they don't adhere to American values." They also don't have to adhere to regulations that American airlines have to. Either they should be required to follow our rules or American companies should be allowed to follow their rules.

They can always just adhere to American values, and rules. They can even just hire all American staff when flying into States too.

Senators Urge Halt to Chinese Carriers Overflying Russia on U.S. Flights

Quote:
By David Shepardson

(Reuters) -The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the committee's top Republican urged the Biden administration to halt Chinese airlines and other non-American carriers from flying over Russia on U.S. routes.

Senator Robert Menendez, a Democrat, and James Risch, the committee's top Republican, in a letter seen by Reuters urged the Biden administration to ensure no commercial airline overflying Russian territory arrives or departs from a U.S. airport.

It also encouraged the administration to "strongly and publicly discourage U.S. persons, citizens, and permanent residents from traveling on flights over Russian territory."

U.S. airlines and other foreign carriers are barred from flying over Russia. Russia banned airlines from the United States from overflights after the U.S. barred Russia flights in March 2022 following its invasion of Ukraine.

I read four-five articles about this and there was nothing mentioned about values.

Some in the Democrat Party want to punish India for being neutral or other reasons.

Air India flies over Russian airspace and gets Russian oil, but flies direct to NYC among other US cities. I realized this last year when I had to pick up my friend on an Air India flight.

I don't know but it seems like some in the D Party want India to align with China, Russia and Iran.

However, the globalists need Indian H1B labor. I think they will ultimately push back and not let this happen.

U.S. air carriers currently serve Shanghai from the United States through a stop in Incheon, South Korea, while Chinese carriers serve the United States directly, flying through Russian airspace.
Seoul-Incheon is only about 500 miles from Shanghai, so it seems to me that any plane that could fly nonstop from an American city to Incheon (while avoiding Russian airspace) would be able to continue flying to Shanghai without making a stop. Perhaps they meant to say that the U.S. planes had to be re-routed in such a way as they overflew Incheon instead of the direct route over Russian territory. Or maybe they're actually making a stop there, I don't know.

In any case, I don't really like the idea of banning the Chinese airlines just because they currently enjoy a competitive advantage, through no fault of their own or of the U.S. airlines. It just doesn't seem right to me.
