A big part of inflation since Covid era has been huge corporations profits per unit item. Check the percentage increases relative to historical averages:

Much like the huge increases in egg prices appear to be more about profits then reality.

Impossible! Everyone knows that inflation is because of lazy Democrats who don't want to work!

Really? I thought, it was Trump and Putin's fault?

Anyhow. There is a major inflation going on that no one speaks of. Production inflation. It is hovering somewhere around 27%. When it reaches 40%, the economy collapses.

Corporations can only make high profits if their customers are willing to pay inflated prices.

Now, ask yourself….why are goods and services being purchased willingly at inflated prices?

I've actually never heard anyone make that claim before, until you posted this.

Exactly. Why should I sell my product for $1 when someone will pay $1.25 for it? And what god given right does anyone have to tell me what I can rightfully sell my products for? This is what people have always been whining about. Basic supply and demand, same as it ever was. Whose fault is it that America doesn't produce as much it once did? Of course, if you go by the value of the products, the USA does make more than ever, but that is the core what people in this thread are whining about.

If you want lower inflation/lower prices, you simply have to increase the supply and bring it to market.

There's no question Big Business has unethically seized the rare opportunities presented by the knockout blows to consumers of COVID and Biden's treasonously crippling and deranged energy edicts.

No one (other than government, with its legal monopoly on coercion) can "jack up " prices, and there are very few goods or services for which alternatives aren't available. Those alternatives just don't seem very "trendy" to the fools Madison Avenue wants to lead around by the nose.

Corporate profits are not to blame inflation ocrrured because demand is up significantly and our supply chains have not been able to keep up. This mixed with staggering lager rate increases and an unprecedented disruption in our labor force.
