What is that supposed to mean? As longs as they pass the training, why shouldn't non-citizens with green cards be allowed to work as peace officers?

I have no problem with green card holders working as local LE. Eventually they will naturalized and become US citizens…if they want to make a progress in their career.

Non-citizens are not by definition "Illegal"

My husband has been a legal, tax-paying, business-owning resident of the U.S. for 35 years. He is in no sense of the word an "illegal alien."

Sometimes I wonder where you people were educated.

Actually, “non-citizen” encompasses both legal aliens (LPR, IV, NIV) and illegal aliens. So you are partially right.

Back in the old days before Biden went woke, we referred to “non-citizens” as aliens

In 2021 DHS Secretary distributed agency wide memorandum directed DHS employees to not refer alien as alien. Instead, we should call them “undocumented citizen”

Ask me how I know that

If folks want non-citizens to not be law enforcement, then they should step up to the job. Of course, then "real US" citizens will beat them with American flags like they did at the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Actually, Capitol police falls under federal law. You need citizenship to work for USCP

Btw, there were way more cops injured and killed during Summer of Love 2020. A lot lot more

I am just throwing some fun facts out there
