Kerry should have used that line in 2004.

Yes, now that gas is $4 a gallon and they are stuck with those big SUVs, to which I say Hahaha.

Now, too bad we don't have the loved ones of troops lost and maimed to weigh in on this thread. Too bad we don't have folks who are going through the hell of war to chime in. But I imagine they are busy dodging bullets and bombs or maybe at funerals.

But then "it's all about us," or me me me.

I have family in the ME fighting - one on his fifth tour.

I have personally visited the troops in theatre.

Yes - we are - I am, much better off

The country has been torn down and trashed by 7+ years of disgrace and disaster, but I guess we can take solace in the fact that a few who were already in the upper tax brackets have managed to do well out of it all...

You may be, but "we" are not. How anyone can look at the big picture (collectively) and say "we" are better off is, well...mistaken.

Aside from gas prices, yes, I'm much better off than I was 8 years ago. More than likely because I've learned to 'economize' and am not as wasteful as I once was. I don't consider trailer park trash such as myself to be in these 'high brackets' but whatever, savvy. I suppose that my life is just not directly affected by the president, and I'm quite happy that the government isn't so involved in my life that politicians would affect me.
