I think that's called 'probable cause'? But I guess if it's 'for the children' it's ok to take our rights away?

Washington Wire - WSJ.com : Are You Better Off Than You Were Five Years Ago?

Interesting article from the Wall Street Journal.

For the first time in 50 years of polling, a majority of Americans believe they are stuck or falling behind, according to a new Pew Research poll measuring the attitudes of the middle class.

Some interesting comments after the short article.

My income has fallen way behind the official and the actual inflation. My automobiles have gotten 8 years older and have required expensive repairs. My condo fees and taxes have increased. Gasoline prices are through the roof. I can no longer afford to travel for vacations. My 401k has leveled off.

Things are just getting better and better. I can barely wait for tomorrow.

Yes. Paying more in taxes will definitely improve your situation.

Taxes will have to be raised to pay for Bush's ill-gotten war that costs $2B per week. Yes, that's TWO BILLION DOLLARS per WEEK.

Or does the fear of trillions of dollars in debt not concern you?
Why would you think that we won't have to repay this debt?

01Snake believes we can just roll some fresh dollars off the printing press and have Paulson's succcessor just talk up the dollar and try having a kumbaya Tony Robbins moment.

It worked for the past 10 years and the complacency that it can continue indefinitely is nothing short of breathtaking.

They don't call him HyperMcFlation for nothin'!
