Well financially I'm about the same maybe a little better.

But I know a lot of people that are not.

And to be honest most people that would give you a negative answer won't. Why? Well when your to busy working long hours or working two jobs....you don't exactly have the time or energy to waste on a frigging forum now do ya. ...............Well I guess if your unemployed you have the time.

Exactly what I thought, kind of.

If your welfare was cut down, you have the time and your conditions are worse.

To include inflation, no, I'm not better off than I was 8 years ago. I've managed status quo.

Do I make more money, yes. Is my buying power any greater, that's a big no.

I worry for my friends who are in the military, I didn't have to do that before.
I worry about my friends in the military who suffer from PTSD and physical wounds that they'll never recover from; from a pointless war that has harmed the US irreparably.
I worry for my working friends who can't make ends meet because they're not as lucky as I am.
I worry about the food banks that have lost government subsidies and need more help from contributors as they feed the needy.
I worry that people in low level jobs can't make ends meet, not because of the illegal population, but because corporate america has outsourced jobs and moved manufacturing jobs for greed and no other reason than the bottom line to line their own pockets at the expense of others.
I worry about the elderly who can't make ends meet because of inflation.
I worry about those who are ill because they'll be lucky to get any medical care if they can't afford to pay for it.
I worry for the homeless whose numbers are growing.

I worry a lot, I contribute what I can to help others.
It's the least I can do.

Financially, we've done well. However, what Bush et al have done to the constitution is shameful. Patriot Act, anyone?

Paranoid? No, I'm just one of those wierdos who have educated myself on what GWB and ******** have been up to. Bill of Rights Under Bush: A Timeline - MondoGlobo (http://mondoglobo.ning.com/group/questionauthority/forum/topic/show?id=1509099%3ATopic%3A2937 - broken link)
Careful, holding your breath might keep the oxygen from going to your brain. Do that often?
