Is this belief solely based on this statement in the article .
We would not know this company’s transaction history so I am just asking what info is this claim based on?
If you read the article you will see that several people had their banks simultaneously closed by Chase, I believe one was unrelated to Mercola but all had a similar business of selling wellness products for COVID.

Correct - I quoted two different cases in the OP - one w/ Chase and one w/ Paypal.
JPMorgan Chase Bank terminated the accounts of Dr. Joseph Mercola’s healthcare company and its employees with no valid explanation, fueling suspicions of political persecution. The doctor gained a significant following during the Covid pandemic for challenging the official policies and narratives and for selling supplements for the treatment and prevention of Covid. He also ranked No. 1 on the “Disinformation Dozen” list of the Biden administration.

Yes - I think there is a sizable portion of people who are OK with this.
Interesting that the loans would remain with Chase... so they can continue to rake in the interest payments.
Could be fraud that the bank has somehow suspected or uncovered. Snake oil fraud or other malfeasance/laundering associated with this business. Of course the owner's comments would have to be in line with some of the usual Covid related conspiracies to attract that sort of business.
The loan being a longer termed contract may require a different tact.

If it's fraud fine shut down the business but not the employees bank accounts they didn't know that the company owner was doing anything wrong.
Also forbidding the children to open accounts whenever they choose to down the line is also questionable.

Many people on this forum even. At the beginning of the month there were a group of people celebrating the Supreme Court's ruling that businesses can discriminate in the name of free speech.
Assuming the conspiracy theorists are right, and this is solely based on a COVID position, the bank was within its rights. These are the types of rights the extreme right was fighting for.
Probably will be more of this type of activity on both sides of the aisle.
If that's the case - they didn't indicate any wrongdoing.
"Unexpected activity" may be some euphemism.
Having to move one's accounts to different banking institution does not sound like a life altering event.
