He did say he would fire 70% of the government employees so....
Like Reagan, he fired a number of government workers, and he then hired Temporaries to make it look good for him. And Temporaries don't come cheap. I used to work as a Temporary.
They don’t realize Haley is Asian Indian?
Her parents are Sikhs from Punjab. Don’t mess with Sikhs, or they might kick your rear.
Sikhism teaches egalitarianism. Not sure how well it sticks with the 2nd generation kids raised in the USA, but that is theoretically basic to the religion.
My dream; and of course in today's political climate it is only a dream, would be a Haley/Hutchinson ticket. Two reasonable experienced ex-governors who understand how government works and the best way to make changes but are not interested in blowing up government.
I am not interested in the least of some guy who knows nothing about running a government but likes to spew crap to hit the hot buttons of some people. I'm not sure what his end goal is but he certainly getting his fifteen minutes of fame that he seems to crave.
I could get behind a Haley/Hutchinson ticket too. They both seem like reasonable people and have a lot of hands on experience solving problems in government.
I'm not interested in Vivek for the simple fact that he doesn't seem to understand either the U.S. Constitution or U.S. laws (for example, calling for a civics test for voters when there's been a law against "voter tests" for 60 years that was instituted for very sound reasons).
Maybe there should be an American history & civics test required for presidential candidates. Now, THOSE results would be interesting!
As for the liberals I know, no one is losing their minds over Vivek. In fact, he isn't even a topic of conversation at this point.
The 'professional' politicians of course will resent the rookie upstart. They assumed time would get them to higher office. The talking head pundit class resent Vivek because they don't have a candidate with his charisma, energy etc. They just realized their shilling for the wrong party and wish they had a candidate like him.
