COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio has banned gender-affirming care for minors and restricted transgender women’s and girls’ participation on sports teams, a move that has families of transgender children scrambling over how best to care for them.

The Republican-dominated Senate voted Wednesday to override GOP Gov. Mike DeWine's veto. The new law bans gender-affirming surgeries and hormone therapies, and restricts mental health care for transgender individuals under 18. The measure also bans transgender girls and women from girls' and women's sports teams at both the K-12 and collegiate level.

It appears the pendulum is finally swinging back. The predictable result when progressives keep shoving all of this down our throat.

Lets see how many more states will follow suit.

Yep. As always, the pendulum swings back. Those of us who are paying attention know this.

Government so small it fits in your pants and bullies 4 individuals.

I was appalled by the lack of protest from female athletes about the men competing with them.

Props to Riley Gaines and a few others, but this should have been a deafening dissent. Unfortunately, that is the power of the tranny lobby. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of that nonsense.

There are two genders. Just because you "identify" as a woman, if you're a 6', 200lb male, you're a guy. Perhaps a guy with a lot of mental issues, but a guy nonetheless, regardless of your pronouns.

There are probably a handful of trans female athletes in all of Ohio...and most if not all them are probably less gifted than their top cis female athlete competitors.

Ohio can also look forward to more self-unaliving from trans kids who have to deal with gender dysphoria because they couldn't take advantage of gender-affirming care.

Congratulations. /s

What a waste of time and taxpayer dollars then. It's not as if there are cis guys so desperate for athletic glory that they will suddenly "declare" themselves female. It's my understanding that coming to terms with one's gender identity and the often-subsequent transitioning process is much more complicated than that, no matter that horrid Daily Wire movie tried to say.

Therapy, and lots of it, is what minors who aren't sure what gender they are, need, so restricting that doesn't seem like a good move. All the arguments on here have pointed to gender confusion being a mental health issue.

Do you actually have histrionic personality disorder, or are you just making a poor attempt to co-opt it?

Have you spent any time in Ohio? We've never had a problem with kids killing themselves because they don't know whether they're a guy or a girl, and we never will.

FindingZen, LMAO. More like finding a Soros check in the mail with every ridiculous post you make here. Do one.
