Totalitarians the world over hate illegal immigrants apart from being able to use them as scapegoats to blame for all that is wrong.

Leftist morons hate law and order and anything remotely resembling a country with patriotic citizens.

Then they are the first to cry and complain when what they voted and asked for happens. They are a special kind of crazy.

If Syrians or Afghans or Hezbollah or Hamas or ISIS committed a terrorist attack inside the US, our government wouldn’t do a damn thing except blame it all on Trump somehow.

Which means that there would surely be another one.

The Biden administration is the worst presidency in my lifetime, and it’s not even close.

Yes blame Trump and another gun debate.

It's not hatred it's about disrespecting a country's immigration laws and taking from their citizens what doesn't belong to them. That doesn't make them scapegoats it exposes the real problems that they impose on a country and its society. No one blames them for all that is wrong either. Stop making stuff up to defend the indefensible

I'd appreciate an actual answer from someone that knows and not an off-topic shot at Biden.

They are deported back to Central Asia, where the majority of them came from.

However the true scope of this deportation is unclear to me.

It's not like Russia's millionaires will be ready to get rid of their cheap labor overnight.

So Putin's officials might be just blowing off steam, as Russian public was demanding deportations already for some time.

Interesting that a former communist nation, which is still the boogey man for many people, actually does something beneficial for its born citizenry, whereas another nation (starts with a "U" and ends with an "A") that is supposed to be so wonderful can only seem to do things that harm its born citizenry, as of late.

Trust me, it's a big struggle with the government over there on a subject as well, the uphill battle with the "neoliberals" in Putin's government, who are trying to convince Russians that "immigration is a good thing for Russia," until of course that "Crocus" was hit few days ago.

Now Putin wants to look like a hero, using this whole issue to his personal advantage and claiming that he takes situation under "his personal control."

I mean what else can he say?

Some Russians wonder whether their country is part of a "deal" - some agreement between their government and some international organizations, that keep on moving people from impoverished countries to the more developed ones en mass. Because it doesn't escape their attention, this whole global trend both in US and European countries as well.

Even though their internal problems with immigrants are somewhat different, than what I see is going on in US:
