The porn industry in California certainly generates a substantial amount of revenue, but how much of that revenue is actually in the tax base and how much is in the "underground economy"? Pornography debases the persons involved in the making of the porn, except the producers and distributors who are enriched by the lion's share of the revenue stream. I would certainly like to see the marijuana crop flourish in California, which is already a huge "cash crop", in deference to the porn industry which has a widespread deleterious affect upon society as a whole.
You totally didn't get where I was coming from....sigh, never mind it's useless.
Speaking of Bonanza, now there was a gay show. Even "Little Joe" said that (my friend often wondered how he got that name with the tight jeans he wore).

Lets be careful about holier than thou attitudes
Adult entertainment is perfectly legal & legitimate. Adult videos contribute immensely to the tax base in LA & when the writers went on strike the porn business kept the cameras rolling helping out the economy. To each his own.
I do agree with you on marijuana production & know it will become more regulated into large farms. Thefts & violence over protecting the crop is a concern however.

Here are the correct quotes for posts #53 and 54. I'll take credit and blame where due!

HUGE amounts of money going into that. Videos, books, magazines. But of course, you must be immune to that...have you ever perhaps peeked at a picture of a naked lady in a magazine or video? If so, your part of that perversion. Welcome to the awesome world of sex sex SEX!!!!
Oh my god, he was not gay, I think you're thinking of Robert Reed, the dad from The Brady Bunch. BTW, Charles Ingalls was the best TV dad EVER!
Sorry, my mistake, Christopher Landon was gay, not his father, Michael Landon.

His dad, Michael Landon, was one of TV's biggest stars, and growing up gay and under that glare wasn't easy, But at just 24 Christopher Landon has found his own success--and the guts to come out
