CINCINNATI (AP) - NAACP leaders meeting in in Cincinnati say they will step up their campaign against flying of the Confederate battle flag on state grounds in South Carolina.

The rebel flag is a symbol of the greatest treason ever committed against America. Those who revere it owe nothing to the Confederacy, which died over 140 years ago and left behind nothing but a legacy of hatred after a very short existence. The confederate flag flyers owe all the advantages they've enjoyed in their lives to America, yet they act like the CSA somehow provided their freedoms.
How about instead of going against a dead and defunct enslaving tyranny like the CSA, the NAACP pushes against the modern-day enslaving tyranny like the gangsters and rappers who have sold out their own people for the love of money. In my eyes, the NAACP is defunct beyond the point of return.
what is the correct temperature at which blood actually boils? good god you are angry. I have no problem with the confederate flag. I personally would love it if states started succeeding from the "union." the federal government is a perfect example of being a bully, and eventually, we the people are going to start bullying back.

I would guess that the majority of the people that the NAACP should really be trying to help have never visited the Capital and have never seen the monument. I'm sure they could identify some more relevant efforts for the NAACP.

They would be more effective if they became an issues oriented organization instead of just endorsing whomever has the -D at the end of their name. Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free? I'm not saying they should vote -R but if they replaced the -D's that just paid them lip service they would get more political respect.
For those of you that protect that flag as "your history" think about this...........
the flag respresents thought and intent to break away from America.It does not just represent square milage of southern territory or southern living.
The flag is flown by racial protesters who often view blacks and others as "gawd damned n*i**g*ers".I see it flown and waved at racial protests therefor it is not just about southern pride unless your thought and pride is about hating people and breaking away from America.
That said I have have seen blacks stand with whites who waved a rebel flag protesting Cubans,blacks can be just as prejudiced as anyone else.
