I think it's time to take that ol' rag down.

No reason for it to be right in front of the steps like it is.

Can you speak or write English or use punctuation b/c this is nothing but jibberish? The fact is that we have freedom of expression in this country. If you don't like the confederate flag, don't buy one. Doesn't mean others don't have the right to have one or fly it for that matter. Most of the people who worry about the flag flying are the lazy bums who won't work. I have a job and have more important things to worry about than infringing on others rights.

U R right, you have a right to own one and fly one but lets not pretend it is about "southern pride",pride in the sense of a style of living because the flag does represent dark things otherwise racial protesters wouldn't fly it and use it as their symbol of the "south will rise again"

A lot of those people carry American flags, too. Think we should ban it, as well?

Point of fact: symbols like flags are used by good people for good reasons and bad people for bad reasons. How you intepret the symbol is what counts. You obviously interpret the southern flag as a negative thing. Others do not. Why should your opinon count more than theirs?

it doesn't count more than others on a personal level but why support it being flown off government buildings?

It's not - at least in SC. It's on a memorial.

True. A memorial directly in front of the front steps of the State House.

Whatever. It's their state. Let them vote on it.

End of story.
