Actually a lot of "fundamentalist christians" in this country are a lot closer to the Taliban than any "liberal" I know.

This was the women's supposed crime against Sharia Law! Women in Islamic countries are often charged with morality violations, frequently trumped up, as a way to demonstrate male dominance over women according to the Quaran. Under Taliban law prostitution, along with anything else of a moral nature, calls for "Purification" (execution) according to Sharia Law.

I am an Independent voter and I am voting for Senator McCain. Should you define "women's rights" as all types of abortion on demand, you would be correct. Should you define "women's rights" as equals in a gender neutral society, you would be incorrect. I am not a "one trick pony' re candidates' views and positions, I evaluate the overall package. Barack Nobama is bad news for America; economically, militarily and socially; he is not qualified for the Office of the Presidency. BTW, are you one of those Nobama supporters that are using "Hussein" as your middle name in online activities? If you are, that's pretty lame by any standards!
