Health care is one of the things that aids in how healthy a country will be. It's a neat trend you find when looking at the healthiest countries in the world. You find that all the countries in the top spots have publicly sponsored health care.

Oh COME ON! Those are small, homogeneous countries! You can fit THREE Englands in Texas alone! Plus, we've got the Third World at our doorstep and we can't seem to find a way to stop illegal immigration. There is no comparison between our issues and those tiny countries only your list!

Nobody here is claiming that any system is perfect or doesn't involve some give and take on aspects of the plan.
Yes taxes will go up, but healthcare costs will go down. Longer waits are likely to occur, but everyone will have care.
I'd like to see where those western European systems are in 8 to 10 years when their boomers retire affecting tax revenue while increasing the number of those who are using government services.

This is just one of the medical problems I've had, and everything was done quickly, efficiently and with no extra cost to me other than the $54 I pay per month....You have no idea what you are talking about.
