We could use a little of it, I think. At least we could be honest. When people say things aloud to me like I read on this forum, I (and whoever's in the vicinity at the time) just stare at them in disbelief. Usually I say nothing at all. I'm sure there's a happy medium, but I haven't yet found it for myself.

Exactly right...Some posters make so many anti gay posts they seem like a majority all by themselves...The majority on CD seem to be the live and let live folks...They go by the golden rule that so many so called Christians ignore.

Yeah, I have noticed that they would rather beat a person about the head and shoulders with their ideologies than to actually follow the teachings of Jesus who preached on the sins of greed, adultery, selfishness, and legalism, but had not a word to say about homosexuality.

Hmmm....when it comes to the bigotted attitudes of many so-called Christians on this board, I have to wonder.....WWJD?

If we all met in person, I bet we'd get along better than we do here.

I've actually gotten along with many conservative people in my life. I wonder, though, if the conservatives here have ever gotten along with liberals, or God forbid - gays.

Conservatives: If you've had any positive relationships with liberals and/or gays, I'd like to hear about them.
you can't go running your mouth like a rambling fool while putting people down and expect people to get along with you.

1. I have no idea what you're referring to.

2. I get along quite well with most people. In fact, I think you're the first one to attack me here.

My libertarian view on this issue is simple, if you don't support gay marriage, don't marry someone who is gay. However gay and straight people should expect separation of religious beliefs from state laws. Unless you can prove within a court of law that gay marriage has caused you personal property damage, or has left you a victim of fraud, no one has the right to tell any two adults what kind of relationship they want to participate in.
In fact the government has no right to intervene in the relationships of gay, lesbian, straight, bisexual, polygamists, so along as the involved individuals have consented without coercion.

And that is why your party will never come into power.
