What's really, really funny is that you don't think there's one Republican member of congress who has anything good to offer to a stimulus plan. This is just ridiculous...... There are several members from either party with much to offer. I'm starting to think you're just a socialist looking for attention.

I am in complete agreement. On every count. They want to take our jobs overseas? Fine. Make 'em pay.

Kudos to these brave 11 for showing true bi-partisanship. See, Obama got what he wanted. Sadly these 11 will be as much of a collective pariah as a black conservative.

I'm going to have a field day in this forum when the stimulus package fails to do little if anyhting positive.

You need to change your screen name by the way. Einstein is rolling in his grave right now.

What I know is that every single Republican member of Congress did NOTHING to help the American people, they fought regulation of corporations, they supported outsourcing, they supported lower corporate taxes, etc., over the last 8 years. Now, suddenly, we're supposed to believe that they give a damn?

No, not a socialist. Sorry.

Of course you are. In fact, like many others on this forum, your hatred for Obama overrides your love for your country. You WANT him to fail. You WANT the stimulus package to fail. You WANT American people to suffer. So you can "have a field day" and hate on Obama, with the other hateful malcontents that populate this forum.

I would hope that you believe some give a damn. Not every Republican voted for or caused the things you point out. You can't just blame an entire party. Many Dems voted with the Republican's on many of those issues.

My point is that. We face serious economic woes right now and we need both parties to collectively brain storm to determine the best way forward. Personally, I think the Republican's didn't put their names on it because the dems wouldn't budge. Now we're stuck with a bill which I believe is way over priced and doesn't place enough money where it matters most and that's in tax payer's pockets.

We want Obama's policies to fail because we love our country. If his policies come to fruition it will be utter disaster for this, the greatest nation on earth.

P.S. I love how it's "hatred" because we don't agree with B.O's policies, yet you far lefties spent the last 8 years so engrossed in raw unadulterated hate that a term for it was coined; BDS. Hypocritical? Just a bit.

But the Dems DID "budge." That said, I believe the bill may not work. Frankly, I don't believe any bill will work. I think we're headed for a Depression, and there's nothing we can do to stop it. Short of massive and immediate job creation through infrastructure rebuilding and green technology. Those two things are the only things that will save us. Giving rich people yet more tax breaks--which is what the Republicans want--is absurd. It never works. Never has, never will.
