No, not a socialist. Sorry.
What a President does in his term does not stop when he leaves office. Clinton has a hand in what is happening in this country right now. Look it up.... Companies leaving the country, reversing the glass - steagall act, etc. so please.

Thanks to the 1995 Republican-written Balanced Budget Amendment, of which Clinton at first would not sign into law.
Great post!

Now you crossed a line you shouldn't have crossed. My hatred for Obama? I voted for Obama and have said numerous times we need him to succeed (bad policy aside here). Don't you EVER question my love for my country.... I have been serving in the United States Armed Forces for the past 18 years of my life and have an impeccable miltary service record loaded with awards of exlempary service. I have sacrificed more for this great country than what most American's are able to comprehend and have more than EARNED my right to be critical.

You like to lump people into groups I notice. The_Mo's critisized Obama's recovery plan so he must be a hard nosed right wing conservative who hates liberals and wants Obama to fail.... No active republican has done anything to help the american people; abusurd!.... Blah, Blah Blah....

Obama is open to the same scrutiny as any other President has been. Find one post where I say that I HOPE he fails, you won't find one. I can probably find atleast 5 where I say just the opposite.

It's interesting that nearly all the Democrats who voted against the measure are from the South. I'm sure they are concerned that Republican opposition is strong in their states.

How loud you're, what you hope happens... none of that matters at this time. I would be interested if you can actually come up with a solution that is more promising and has a track record, until then, all you've got is a set of talking points.

May not be the best advice if you don't like things going against you, but keep an eye on this. We should be able to talk all about it in coming months.
I'll give you partial credit.... I am indeed a worrier. Infact, we should all be worried right now. We have two wars going on, we are in econmic turmoil. Folks are losing their home's, Their jobs and finacial security and our deficit is out of control... I tend to worry about another trillion dollars being added to our deficit at a time when we can't afford it. The stimulus package is full of pork barrel type spending and doesn't put enough money back in the tax payer's wallet. if you would like me to I could probably post a dozen or so links to economic experts who express similiar concerns about its effectiveness, or you can just choose to believe that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and not care about where your money goes. Yes I'm worried and fearful that in it's current form, the stimulus plan will worsen rather than help us in the long run. Do I have a better plan? Why yes I do.... Don't give a dime of that stimulus package to anyone or any organization until it's gone through hearings and proper vetting. Get both parties on board and produce real economic stimulus.

I am just astounded that so many people have put so much blind faith into Obama, Pelosi, and the Democrats in congress to a point that they refuse to speak up when something is obviously wrong. The classic bait and switch technique is not going to work forever. I am just glad somebody had the stones to fight this 'stimulus package' that we will be paying off for the rest of our lives.

Never underestimate large groups of stupid people.
Yep, sounds a lot like the first bail out: The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

I respect Pres Bush, but that thing leaves him with a tarnished rep.

I heard a Congressguy saying the other day about voting no for this POS bill: (something to the effect of) I learned not to sign things quickly from car salesman: I won't be able to get you this deal if you wait!!!! My mgr is in a good mood now!!!, etc.

The Congressguy says now whenever he hears this it's now or the end of the deal...wait and READ THE FINE PRINT.

Then how about Senator Kent Conrad from North Dakota who doesn't think it will create as many jobs as President Obama says:

Quote:
Senator Kent Conrad, a North Dakota Democrat, said his committee projects the plan will reduce the unemployment rate by “maybe” 1 percent, or about half of the 3 million jobs Obama has said the plan would generate.
How about Ben Nelson, a Democrat from Nebraska:

Quote:
Both of Nebraska's U.S. senators aren't sure whether they'll vote for President Barack Obama's $819 billion economic stimulus plan, which won House approval Wednesday.
Quote:
They don't really seem to be truly stimulus, but they would constitute spending, Nelson said

I've "crossed a line"? I don't think so. Not when you state that you're going to have a good time making fun of Obama when he fails. Having served in the military doesn't give you the right to wish ill on either our President or our country.
