Given that Obama, and just about anyone his age grew up in an age the glamorized "sex and drugs and rock and roll"... wouldn't surprise me if *anyone* in his general age demographic turned up as a user or at least "tried it once".

It was, after all, the Timothy Leary age. Though I'd say folks 5-10 years older than Obama were the most susceptible to that line of B.S.

I've met some older, technically brilliant types from that era that still believe in "better living through chemisty" with justifications like... "Oh the drugs break down barriers and from that you can take new perspectives".

To which I generally reply, yeah right... sort of like dumping sugar in a gas tank... perfect example of how to screw the system up.
