It is only permissable to hit a woman after she has shot you, stabbed you, run over you with your own truck, killed your dog, drank your beer, sunk your bass boat, and set fire to your rmotorcycle.
Until a woman has done all of the above, you can't hit them.

I wouldn't stoop low enough to hit a woman even then. I think whoever posted this one wants to hit a woman and needs some excuse. If you lay a hand on her I hope she picks up something similar to a baseball bat and knocks the s**t out of you. And, if I was close enough where I could watch that happen, I would applaud her!
I have a vast respect for my DH, who holds doors, takes his hat off, pulls chairs out, rises when a lady arrives at or leaves a table, helps ladies on with their coats, etc...
Yet his attitude is simply this - as long as a lady behaves like a lady, he treats her like one. If she is the type to go to bars, get drunk, and decide that she can fight a man like a man, and attacks one, then she deserves what she gets. He is a VERY big man, and never knew his own strength, couldn't understand why people couldn't do the same things he did - yet he is gentle and kind so that babies and kittens and children crawl all over him. Women used to too. Grin. But let a woman attack him - and it has happened; some with bricks, broken bottles, and cue sticks - and he will respond with enough force to stop her. Often that has meant merely wrapping his big hands around hers and holding her hands til she calms down. Rarely has he responded with violence in kind - unless necessary to defend himself.
The point is that when you respect each other, no one hits. When there is no respect - including self-respect - there is violence. The whole hysteria about "NEVER hit a woman" doesn't take into account that some women insist on violence. The best thing to do in that situation is to get away and STAY away from women (AND men) who need that kind of self-justification. Let them find others of their ilk and kill each other off. Don't "reward" them in their need for violence by participating in it in ANY form. Violence is an expression of self-loathing and a need to control others. Those who participate in that kind of behavior cannot be changed until they stop hating themselves - and no partner can do that for them.
Since it's so taboo to hit the ever so fragile female sex
What does a women have to do, so that a punch from a male to a female be justifiable to society?
I say it's okay for a man to hit a woman when the woman hits the man first, out of obvious anger. Even then, it's not that the man SHOULD hit the woman... but I think it'd be considered universally acceptable if a man hit a woman who had first hit him out of anger. That sort of crosses the line over into self-defense... because, you see, if a woman will do that once, she'll do it again and again unless convinced to stop.
About 6 years ago my brother was asleep in bed. His wife attacked him and stabbed him several times with a pair of scissors. Not really sure what was going on since he was asleep, he lept up and swung, striking her and breaking her nose. He was sentenced to jail for 90 days and she was remanded for mental counseling 2 times per week.
Moral of the story: Unless you want to go to jail, do not ever strike a woman.
