It was ridiculous when first giving out bailout funds that they went with the notion that they had to do what they could to retain the CEO"s because they couldn't afford to lose valuable people during such a crisis. (Oh please, who came up with that?) Most of us were in shock upon hearing that and wondered how valuable the employees who drove the companies into a crisis could possibly be at helping them to get out of it!.

Well, we didn't have to wait long at all before the unethical guys in charge started running around filling their pockets with fresh funds!! They enjoyed lavish parties, spas, and multimillion dollar bonuses. (Would we have expected restraint and cutbacks? )

We've been sitting around watching as they continue to hemorrhage our economy.Ken Lewis, President of Bank of America, is essentially kicking sand in the faces of President Obama, Andrew Cuomo, congressmen, and all the american citizens as he refuses to start behaving ethically with our bailout funds.

AIG has given out over $150 Million in bonuses while they kept putting their hand out for the $170 BIllion in bailout funds.

Citi group- is paying muliti-million guaranteed bonuses for employees it has hired in London.

These CEO's have shown that they can't and won't control themselves. Ethics and a sense of responsibility to their companies or the taxpayers bailing them out- is not enough for them. We didn't even an ounce of gratitude for the billions in assistance they received- let alone any financial responsibility. President Obama stating that there was to be an end to bailout bonuses is not enough.

The CEO"s are going to continue to hemorrhage as much as they can from the bailout funds.
They continue filling their pockets- and the government says "no more" as it holds the doors open and let them walk out with it.

Bank of America- has become " Bank of America's Bailout Funds Bonuses" !

The tactics used to get the CEO's to end bailout bonuses, has amounted to no more than some neighbor walking by and attempting to control unruly children by telling them to "behave". (Super Nanny would have sat them in the 'naughty chair "- a long time ago.) It's past time for serious steps to ending this absurd and unruly behavior of the CEO"s.

This disregard calls for the harshest steps possible by law. Whatever President Obama and congress have the right to needs to be done ASAP. No more waiting around and trying to get them to answer questions and stop giving out bonuses.

Here are some of my ideas for the CEO"S of bailout companies.
1. Call in all bailout funds
2. Contracts call for bonuses and AIG doesn't want a lawsuit for not supplying them? No problem- give the bonuses and anyone who takes it -- is immediately fired.
3. FREEZE ALL ASSETS OF ANY COMPANY GIVING BAILOUT BONUSES - until they answer questions, return the bonuses, or return the billions in bailout funds!!!

Steps we can take to help end bailout bonuses-

1. Everyone call your congressman and be heard on this issue
2. Email AIG and Bank of America and Citi
3. Call AIG and Bank of America and Citi
4. Ask your company to not do business with AIG, Bank of A or Citi.
5. Help organize a pIcket/ boycott of AIG and B of A and Citi and refuse to do business with them

Bank of America's motto states it "helps build strong communities by creating opportunities for people — including customers, shareholders and associates — to fulfill their dreams."

Let's start fulfilling dreams by putting an end to bailout bonuses !!!!!!

If you are going to call or email congress, AIG, Bank of America or Citi -let us know by commenting in this post.

Help spread the word. We can't continue to just sit by and be astounded by stories about the bailout bonuses.
We can make a difference and eventually they will hear us.

Duplicate post, but obviously another cry baby who is upset that a CEO who makes $1 a year obtains a $112K bonus, and all bonusus combined = .1% of the bailout fund. Stop crying because someone is making more than you because maybe you would prefer them to return to their previous salary of $25M rather than the $1 a year they make..

NO problem with CEO"s making multi-million dollar funds when the companies were making money. There simply is no money for bonuses in a company that is not only failing but receiving Billions in bailout funds.

Traditionally bonuses are a percentage of profit or a reward for a job well done. This is not the case in a failing company.

In the case of bailed out businesses- that money doesn't belong to them!!!
We can't begin recovery for the economy while others are hemorrhaging it!!

BTW- I disagree that it's a duplicate posting- this post is about getting people do join in doing something about it - instead of just complaining to each other.

We own 79.9 percent of AIG- so we should get that percentage of the bonus money!!!

The new plan to stop AIG bailout bonuses seems to be to withhold the next 30 billion in order to get them to pay back the millions in bonuses.

That is "keystone cop' tactics- Hey, How about a deal where you give back millions and we give you more billions?
