You noticed it to ha? I agree with you those people did look a little earthy.

I see it fizzliing from here. It's yesterday's news.

Obama's poll numbers haven't dropped in the slightest (Gallup)...most Americans approve of the expansion of government (gallup) and 71% approve of Obama on the economy (Gallup)...just yesterday they said Consumer confidence was up to the highest points since last September.

Also another GOP candidate has lost in a Republican leaning district...Tedesco in NY-20.

You'll likely see more shootings by their followers due to the hardcore right wing rhetoric being broadcast on FOX and the inablity to come to grips with losing political power.

They have no leadership other than Palin, Joe The Plumber, and the AM Hate Radio blowhards..Hannity/Beck/Limbaugh etc.

Do you think any self respected person who earns $250,000 pr year (the same group who voted Obama over McCain) would dare show up at such a low-class gathering? Do these crass protesters think they have any money for Obama to "steal" and redistribute?

PS, you fools should stop hiding behind "taxes" as a reason for the tea party. If Obama slashed taxes by 50%, wiped out the federal deficit and cured cancer, there would still be protests from the lunatic right wing. What exactly does fascism and Hitler (and the other myriad of insults I read on the television) have to do with taxes? Some of the signs I read were so embarrassing. The United States should adopt educational socialism from Europe.

Judging by the dismal attendance figures, the tea party was a failure. Go do something productive with your hopeless lives.

"Predictably, Democrats, the Hopium smokers in the media and the left-wing blogs condemned such "tea parties" as gatherings of right-wing wackos."

"What critics of this don't understand is that we're upset with President Obama, yes, but also upset with Bush administration bailouts, and how Obama has taken that and compounded it with all his spending," said Mike Lennox, a real estate manager.

"Democrat, Republican, I don't care about the excuses. What we're tired of is all the lies and the corruption," Lennox said.

That's a flat lie Sandy. The truth is that only 50% of the wage earners pay INCOME tax. Now considering that the income tax only accounts for 48% of the revenue to the federal government. Where do you think the other 52% of the money comes from. What do you think the top 1% donates that, or do you think they are squeezing it out of the poor and middle class.

Yep, completely one sided and biased.

Apparently you are too busy buying the crap HuffnPuff Post is selling to actually pay attention to what actually happens in the video!!! Wake up!
Are you kidding me? A reporter calling the stimulus bills fascism and is asking people to wake up and fight fascism. That is impartial journalism??? This is insanity!

He's a reporter, basically inciting people to rise against our government, which he labels fascism. Incredible!!!!

Big questions for the morning after:

Did government overspending just happen in the last 80 days?
Did the national debt just appear, or has that little gem been shining since Jefferson?
Have any of these people seen their taxes increased by Washington?
What administration signed the "bailout bill"?
ANNNNNNNDDDDDD, where were these people the last oh, say, 4 administrations.

yes, they are squeezing it out of the poor and middle class. government gets its revenue from taxation:

income tax is a large part of the government's revenue. let's see how they operate without taxes!

So what's next for the right wing?

The Atlantic - 26,000 people attended Tea Parties across the nation.
No I dont believe

There was over 2,500 just at the one I was at and it was planned by a democrat since you seem to think only republicans attended and I am in a democrat county

Right wingers tea bagging each other just didn't catch on; it was a dismal failure.

We are at a disadvantage since tax day came on a Wednesday and most of the protesters work at real jobs. I personally requested the day off from work. If we held the same rallies on a Saturday, or in the summer, the numbers would be higher. It's always easier for people who don't work (typically Democrats) to shirk what responsibilities they do have to attend a rally when that check that comes in the mail each month might be in jeopardy. We had about 2,000-3000 people at the first rally I attended and the support (honking horns, thumbs up, victory signs, flag waving, etc.) from those driving by was nearly 100% and very enthusiastic!

I personally had a blast and will definitely be sure to attend future Tea Parties. My sign read, "The Real Pirates Are In Congress". Lots of people stopped by to take a picture of me holding my sign.

As for the organizers, I have a number of E-mails from real people in my area who took it upon themselves to make this happen. We don't want Washington to be involved. We the people are not listening, we are speaking. When Joe six-pack discovers he has a voice, he'll be with us. This was the first event that arose from one person expressing outrage during an MSNBC broadcast. There is great potential here.

This is one of the accounts from the Plymouth, MI rally.

I was shocked. Kellogg Park was filled. One of my friends walked around, he estimates 2000 to 3000 people. Now you may want to google the park and it's size, my guess a city block wide and long, and a good chunk of the park is taken by trees and a fountain. The signs were amazing, so creative. Two that were really funny were Levin and Stabenow with pirate patches. Many speakers, one Libertarian Author, I met his wife and commented on her Galt shirt, and she was suprised folks knew. But it was all walks of life, young old etc.Thadeus McCotter spoke briefly, with quite a good speech speaking about our founders, our tenants in a very statesmen like manor. IMHO he has promise on the national stage, one of the few good guys.
Pictures as soon as the are emailed I will link to them.
