I've never killed anybody, or shot at anybody, but I've seen two people get shot in my time.
I used to party at a questionable spot in town and there'd be shootouts there pretty regularly. The crazy thing is, the shootouts would hardly ever be reported in the papers and the police would always arrive after everything settled down or would wait outside the gates of the complex until back up arrived.
I grew up in a rather small town (100K metro) and despite everybody knowing everybody, the shooters usually didn't get caught.
Some of the stuff that goes on in Chicago though is pretty crazy. America is a lot more violent than some people want to believe. Sure you hear about the murders, but you don't hear about all of the people getting shot.
When I was in Vietnam there were firefights at night when you just shot at muzzle flashes "out there" and they were doing the same in return. I know they didn't hit me, and I sincerely hope I didn't hit any of them. But we were all adults who had mutualy agreed, one way or another, to place ourselves in that situation.
Some years later, I helped arrange the abortion of a young woman, so I am absolutely guilty of the cold blooded, premeditated murder of an innocent person. Of this I am deeply ashamed. God has forgiven me, but I don't think I can forgive myself.
one it isn't murder
two most abortions are done when it isn't a "child"
three a woman's choice is her business not yours
