Not so the bush tax cuts would have alone added 443 Billion by 2013 as projected in summer of 2008, in addition to the additional tax cuts McCain promised that would have pushed it up even more. Not to mention a decline economy would have produced even more reduced revenues, which would likely increase short falls especially with the twice declining tax base (one from the economy one from tax cuts, even from a supply side perspective as post Bush it was clear we were on the low end of the Laffer curve). Finally McCain would not be able cut any spending, within reason, except earmarks as he lacked the power to do so.
That coupled with his military spending would have made, his deficits worse then Obama's as was predicted with the 3.3 vs 4.2 numbers issued during the campaign.
Facts are the campaign is over and Obama has the button and lied to you.
He said he would run our government on a budget like everyone has to run their own household budget.
So far, he lied big time by spending more then we make and has quadrupled our DEBT in only 5 months.
Nice try, but Obama is a job killing machine.
So far, he is now in the hole nearly 6 MILLION JOBS.
And toss out most of his campaign lines, they are lies and scam jobs.
McCain would have been far better. He would have never spent this kind of money on PORK like the porkster Obama has done.
In my childhood home town people are losing their jobs by the hundreds, massive layoffs, people losing their homes and stores closing down weekly.
This was not happening under Bush at all, Obama takes over and the town like so many others in Americ are falling apart thanks to Obama.
Like a forest fire where new fires are used to control a forest fire, maybe Obama believes additional overspending will control overspending? He is right in one sense. If we are all broke there is no more money to spend.
A spending freeze is exactly what should have been done - instead obama and the dems are going hog wild - more than tripling the deficit, doubling the debt, threatening individuals and business with a massive energy and HC tax.
I know what I will be doing - NOT spending.

Face it, the loons now own the entire country and have total control, congress now for 2 1/2 years and promised us change then and of course no delivery, Obama promised us changed and no delivery.

True - but the other side of the equation is - jobs have been exported and they are NOT coming back. So nothing from nothing is nothing if you are one of the employed in an industry such as textiles or furniture here in NC - there are no more jobs. If that is all you are qualified to do, what now?
Additionally, small businesses - wh/ provide the MAJORITY of jobs in this country - have had their lines of credit cut off or severely reduced. Many have closed their doors.
I don't think it has sunk in with a lot of people that when so many are unemployed - this in itself has a domino effect throughout our entire economy.
Don't look for logic in their arguments, it's not there.
Oh, I know. What they amount to are lies, however. Deliberate and targeted lies - from the powers-that-be in conservative media. I can't let lies go unchallenged.

That's one reason among many, but it doesn't matter. When people stop coming into my store through no fault of my own, it doesn't really matter why. Someone has to spend something sooner or later, or the downward spiral continues.
By the way, any economy based on growth, such as ours, will inevitably end up overextended on credit unless restricted from doing so.
