According to the news the violence in Iraq is at the crisis level ever since the American combat troops have pulled out of Baghdad Iraq and other major cities. It appears that the Iraq military and police were just not ready to handle the security. Should we go back in to help?

Quagmire. I say no, instead of Iraqis getting killed it will just be Americans and Iraqis. Also Iran destabilizing may have something to do with Iraq destabilizing as well.

Too late.

Obama's policies will lose this war.

They pretty much knew this would happen. There wasn't much of a question about whether or not there would be violence. The question remains about how well the Iraqi's can respond.

Nope they have to handle their own s*** now. On top of that the best way to make America look like a malevolent occupier is to go back on our withdrawal promises.

Let the Iraqi's blow the whole place apart. It's their country. Leave the American troops out of it. We have done enough.

The US was playing a secondary role in the policing mission a LONG time ago. Last year, Iraq police and military had complete control of the region with US forces offering only training and support from the green zone.

This recent upswing in violence has little to do with US forces, and the Iraqis need to get accustomed to dealing with these issues on their own.

We were asked to leave. If the Iraq government decides to ask us back then we can but I think they realize that sooner or later we will leave, and either they can handle it or not. It's their country and they need to defend it themselves.

We have to stop beginning open ended wars in which we become the overlord.
