If I recall, the Republican machine touted Joe as the great truth seeker, the wise man in suburbs, etc. I do not think the Dems foisted him upon the Reps. I think when the Reps needed a golden idol to adore when their shiny candidates were tarnished. they raised Joe up for the crowds.

"Joe the Plumber is more impressive than her???" Ye gods...the idiot was exposed as: 1) not a licensed plumber, 2) without the chops to qualify to buy the business he claimed to want to buy (it wasn't for sale), 3) a frequent caller to area radio talk shows, and 4) was a plant in the audience.
Meghan McCain, on the other hand, earned a Bachelor's Degree in art history from Columbia University and has literally had a lifetime program in politics.
And she seems to be a lovely young woman, both inside and out.
1. Many folks that work in the plumbing industry are not licensed. Totally "legal".

4. The initial comment from "Joe" was a media event held in his neighborhood. He was playing catch with his son when the "would be president" showed up for another media opportunity.

I think she's looking to ride her dad's coattails for her 15 minutes of fame and all of these idiot news opinion shows that give her a stage are ga-ga jerks. Actually, Joe the Plumber is more impressive than her. If she's the face of the NEW GOP, I don't want any part of it.
