I could go on. The Republicans get joked on for being the family valiues party. Gee. There are worse things to be known for.

But that's why they take their own guys to task. And that's a good thing!

Better than being a party where any deviant or corrupt lifestyle is looked at as fine.
Good example of diversion as a tactic to avoid answering a question.

But what you're saying is not true. When the news about John Ensign came out, it was mostly Republicans on this forum who said that his affair was a "personal matter". I agreed with them.

It's unfortunate that so many on this forum have an "us versus them" mentality about everything. Yours seems to be: Democrats are bad; Republican are good. That certainly keeps things simple. I'm just glad that I'm able to see the political world in a more complex way.

Republicans on this forum don't matter. I'm talking the the ones in congress..........state or national. They hold their teammate accountable.
And remember...not all Republicans are "social conservatives" .....most are...but not all.

Is this the same Teddy who has (WITHOUT AN OUNCE OF SHAME) grills Supreme court nominees over the years?

The only difference I guess is that the Republicans are the party that wishes to tell the American Public that they stand for "family values"....

Well, if you do it sparingly and conservatively (maybe with your clothes on?).

Yet another one who uses diversion to avoid answering the question.

I didn't realize this would be so challenging to so many people.

And hold their party members accountable WHEN THEY DON'T!

That's a good thing!

What do you mean by "accountable"?

When the news about Mark Sanford came out, it was mostly Republicans who said he shouldn't resign. They said it was a personal matter. (I agreed with them.)

That's right!! Good for the Republicans for following through on their demand that Mark Sanford and John Ensign resign from office!

Oh wait, they're still IN office...
