You are confusing per capita cost with what people pay. Try to keep to apples to apples comparisons.

TM,10% of your income should be spent....why should some pay more money than others???

An apples to apples comparison is that the US spends $6700 per capita.

The Canadian system costs $5000 a person per year...

Wouldn't that would mean a similar US system would cost a total of $1,500,000,000,000 a year???

Quite a few actually. A hotel here in Las Vegas had a job fair - looking mainly for service workers - maids, housekeeping (cleaning toilets, emptying the trash) - and they had more applicants for jobs then there were jobs - and all were LEGAL residents of the United States.

People who YOU claim would not do the jobs that are.
