..it only says that it will pay for the service and the counseling should someone WANT it and do it.
And it also gives extra money to the medical folks who provide the counselling.
A little incentive can turn something optional and voluntary into something that is inferred to be mandatory ... all for a little extra money to the medical people.
If the bill is still undergoing changes and has not been voted into law then there are no facts..yet.
Oh for Christ sakes... DUH.. the bill hasn'tbeen voted on yet.. and now it's undergoing changes..
That still doesn't take away from teh facts that eopole are LYING about the bill that has been all over the news, that the President is supporting and that he wanted to pass before August Session.
So THERE ARE FACTS... FACT: The right wing has LIED outright about what the bill says.. DISTORTED it to TWIST HC Reform..
ANd everyone bought it hook line and sinker.. Most people know more about American Idol then they do about their own government or how health care system works.
I see two interpretations but still don't see the actual thing. So which propaganda should I believe?
None. Not until a final version of the bill that will be voted on is posted.
Even then, look what happened with the Cap&Trade bill; a 1000 page amendment appeared at 3AM, hours before the vote and it contained alot of "goodies".
TM: There was a study done by a law review team on the living will. It was found that when Doctors or medical personnel learned the patient had such a document...they suspended treatment at the earliest point in the death trajectory fearing that they would be sued for not carrying out the mandate in the document. So even that carefully written law has its deficits.
When this issue was debated in my state...several testimonies included that emergency room personnel would take care of the person without a living will or health care proxy sooner...because they would not sued for doing too much for the patient. i would rather hit the emergency room without a living will than with one....that is a headline....if you think i have been injured badly...do not perform miracles...take care of the others. you can doubt what I say and ridicule but the truth of these testimonies remain the same.

and there is a section in the bill that addresses when the living will takes affect. Also, when you have a health care proxy.. THEY are the ones that make the decisions for you.. hence having someone in charge of your decisions on when/how to carry out your living will. I was a proxy in my grandmothers case.

So you're saying its ok for people to report that Obamacare is going to kill your grandma or your handicapped child because it possibly might happen? Even though there is no reason nor evidence to indicate thats even remotely plausible? Well then I guess its ok to label you as a racist because you may one day join the KKK.
